The Guildhall Trust

During my stint as part-time Fundraising Manager for The Guildhall Trust, who operate the Portsmouth Guildhall and now Whiterock Theatre in Hastings too, I’m proud to have contributed in some small way to the much larger, overarching capital campaign to gradually refurbish the Guildhall for music fans to enjoy in the years to come.

The Base launched in 2024 as a brand-new fully-accessible facility exclusively for 18-30 year olds in the Portsmouth and Southsea area to use as a creative hub. For a nominal membership fee, young people can make use of the state of the art production, recording and rehearsal facilities for audio and video, study in the communal lounge area, or join a workshop or two. The space also doubles as an intimate performance space for first-timers to get on the mic too.
