Association of Independent Promoters (AIP)
Having known co-chair Anna Moulson for some years through my work at The Boileroom and even earlier from afar when I lived in Brighton briefly; it was a real honour to be asked to support AIP’s application to Arts Council England’s National Lottery Project Grant programme to support the organisation’s growth and development.
This project saw the creation of the AIP members report, an eye-opening look into the current state of the UK live music promoting climate, the Diversity Database, and a series of masterclasses for their members on various relevant topics, including fundraising (of which yours truly was happy to take part in as a speaker). This project has laid the foundations for further nationally relevant work to continue to support the grassroots music economy alongside peer organisations like Music Venues Trust, I look forward to seeing what’s next in the pipeline.
